Galleri Asur is presenting 29 new paintings by Mai Cheng this winter. Viewings by appointment only - please call ahead.

Galleri Asur was founded in 1996. The gallery has been exhibiting and selling art in Oslo (Norway) since 1996, and on Côte d’Azur (France) since 2001. From its very beginning, the gallery had an international orientation. One of its first exhibitions, back in 1996, included seven Chinese artists, many of whom originated from the so-called Stars Group (Xingxing) – a group which also included the now world famous Ai Weiwei and Wang Keping.

Later it became a hallmark of the gallery that more than half its regular exhibitors were of foreign (non-Norwegian) origin, among them Ryszard Warsinski from Poland and Mai Cheng from China.

Today, Galleri Asur's focus is on complete decorations or commissions of art to businesses or public buildings, in addition to selling individual paintings by a handful of artists.

We are partly in Oslo, Norway, and partly at Côte d'Azur in France. Sometimes we are at art fairs in other places.

Right now, Galleri Asur is in Oslo. You may come and see Mai Cheng's solo exhibition by appointment on the phone or by mail. When you arrive in Uranienborgveien 13, please press the doorbell and we'll open for you!

While we will continue to have our permanent address in Oslo and on the Côte d'Azur, we hope to be able to arrange pop-up exhibitions elsewhere in the future. So keep an eye on our pages.
